people with no guts!

yes, this is a continuation of the previous post, still on all the fucked-up incidents, and…should i say…people as well?
y izit that most singaporeans do not dare to speak up?? just like when they r interviewed on the streets, they turn their backs & run…y r singaporeans with NO GUTS???!!! i’m not saying all, but many, most, as compared to the taiwanese, hong kong-ers, chinese, who are simply frank & straight about their opinions & r not afraid to voice them out.
y izit that u hear so many pple saying bad things about the gahmen, like, the gahmen shouldn’t make us pay so much, the gahmen shouldn’t keep increasing our PUB bills, our transport fares, etc., u owiz hear pple condemning the gahmen, but comes election, they dun hv the guts to follow their hearts to put a cross on THAT box.
y izit there ARE pple in my tutorial groups who reli mind about the not-swapping, but they dun dare to voice it out???? only zhaoxian & i are voicing out our opinions. in the end, we will still not get the swap, but we are at least letting pple know we r pissed off about dis matter.
why r there just pple who wish so much for a swap, but dun dare to speak up??!!!! they just keep quiet & follow the majority. i dun beliv all my class pple reli SSSSSOOOOOOOOOOO 伟大, dun mind at all. y no guts? y dun dare to fight for your rights? y pretend to be goodies who do wateva others ask u to do??
last week, during cem tutorial, someone asked the question, "who has thot of leaving teaching, upon completion of ur bond?" guess wat? only i raised up my hand. don’t tell me the rest of the class r all very happy teaching?? BULLSHIT!!! we r forever hearing so many complaints about teaching, everyone in one stage or another has thot about leaving, but nobody has the guts to raise their hands, as if the tutor is going to deduct ur marks for doing that. WHY???? y pple out there just do not have the gut? "KIA-Si" rite?
my blog entries diz couple of days may sound harsh, but i’m not arrowing at anyone… nor any groups… i’m just venting my frustration about certain issues..
YES, & i hope diz kinda fucked-up things, fucked-up life would come to an end soon!
Singaporeans during our era have been trained to keep our opinions to ourselves. Remember those times when our school teachers used to tell us to keep quiet when we raise our hands to ask questions, or when we were trying to voice out during discussions? either we were instructed to keep quiet from the very beginning, or we ended up having thoughts & opinions being dismissed as unimportant.
Guess what?the whole issue on singaporeans being overly quiet at the ‘wrong times’ all boils down to our education! sad, but true! education by our schools, and by the parents who still hold on to the supposedly “good” chinese traditional value of “children should be seen and not heard”.
Anyway, the good news is.. that was our era! and now, its a new era, where the kids are definitely encouraged and trained to be more outspoken. and Steph, you and i are fortunate to have the opportunity to be moulders of our future pillars. the kids do not have to be educated the way we used to be! and that is really good news..
Hopefully, in the near future, we can see a gradual shift of trend from kia-see singaporeans, to streetsmart & courageous singaporeans.
So, You and I should now do our part in making a difference. yes, lots of persecution will be faced, especially from those teachers with the “i-better-keep-quiet-if-i-want-to-keep-my-ricebowl” mindset. but, if we do not start the ball rolling, who will?
stephanie its me Jierong.. the same thing happened to me in my class.. everyone in my class always pretend to be goodie goodie two shoes i really cannot stand it man.. fucked up! I was the only one who raised my hand when they ask who wants to get out of the service once the bond ends or even think abt breaking the bond right after graduation.. sianz.. NIE alot of hypocrites.. sigh..
